Eternally

This poem is a quiet celebration of Being.

I Was A Rock Once

I was a rock once.
Solid, Strong, Patient, Calm
And very, very happy.

I was huge.
The world moved ever past me,
And my heart sang.
All the life in the world was a part of me,
And my heart danced.

Summer breezes tickled
The tiny crystals of my edges
And I hummed.
Winter winds cast sand against my sides
Smoothing, sculpting me.
And nothing, Nothing
Disturbed my infinite bliss, my rockness, my Self.

My face to the world was a steep, granite cliff
With ledges, nooks and crannies.
A dense, northwestern forest blanketed my back.
Ocean waves broke and played
Upon the rocky shores at my feet.
And all the while I watched
And remembered
And hummed.

Obsess? Oh, Yes!

To me this is a comic piece.
I love the playfulness of it and its truth.
Such a sweet obsession - what's the harm?

You Obsess a Little

'You tend to obsess a little,' you told me late one evening.
Too true, I thought. I'm doing it now.

Recalling your comments that I've a very feminine nature
And you've a very masculine one, and my replies
On the delightfulness inherent in such polarity
And I think, what's not to obsess?

I shift into High Gear Obsession as you note I'm just to notice and
Not get excited about your statement or, I think, OBSESS, and
I feel us breathing softly together and becoming one breath as
Energy body edges permeate with sublime delicacy.

I muse onward, breathing softly, taking time
To feel totally, love passionately, and in my mind
Sparks, harmonics, rhythm and stillness
Merge in a languid dance of skin on skin.

A tongue tip touch, lightly here, then there
A warm, breathy kiss; then another
Then many quick little ones everywhere, tasting,
Drinking in your scent; sliding softly into surrender.

As we dance the discovery dance of opposing forces -
And as our joyful laughter punctuates the sweet sounds of fusion
My obsession peaks as Jimmy Page slides into the same, sweet passion
And the world stops, and I smile.

On the back of a Chai Receipt

Golden Flight, El/09

The following words came in a flood while walking along the beach at Rio del Mar.  Delighted, I bought a hot chai in order to use the back of the receipt to write the verse down.

I Am

I Am an expanded curiosity upon a new horizon.
I Am where the frequency of beauty permeates the physical.
I Am what laughter feels like to the Universe.

A heart-head rush of power and open attention
Subtle in certain ways, ballsy in others,
I am conscious, passionate Play.

How far up and out can one go?
How far in and down?

How bold?
How delicate?

How divine this exploration!
